- We do not accept bitches in season. if your bitch comes into season while staying with us, you will be charged an additional $25 per day
- Proof of vaccination including kennel cough must be supplied prior to drop off, this can be by scanning or taking a photo of the vaccination record and emailing to info@wairarapaboardingkennels.co.nz You acknowledge and agree that during your dogs term of boarding, there is a risk of your dog contracting Canine cough (kennel cough) or other contagious viral infections. This occurs in the most hygienic and well-ventilated kennels. Canine cough can be contracted at dog parks, dog shows, groomers and vets. A canine cough vaccine does not cover every strain of kennel cough and we accept no liability for your dog contracting kennel cough or other contagious infections during its stay.
- You must be available for me to contact, during your dog’s stay and if this is not possible, you must supply me with an alternate contact that can make decisions on your behalf and/or pick your dog up from the kennels should there be any problem that can not be safely dealt with by myself.
- For dogs under the age of 12 months please contact us by phone first to ensure we are able to accommodate your puppies needs. We will not accept any puppies under the age of 6 months. We expect dogs to be toilet trained and able to be left on their own overnight from 9pm to 6.30am. Any dogs (not just puppies) constantly soiling inside the facility will be charged an additional $15.00 per day for extra cleaning and disinfecting.
- Please ensure you disclose any and all health issues your dog has including any medications they require at the time of booking. I will then in discussion with you decide if the Wairarapa Boarding Kennels facilities will be suitable for your dog. If your dog requires veterinary attention they will be treated by Keinzley Agvet veterinarians, or in the case of after-hours emergencies, their nominated veterinarian. You will be required to pay all costs associated with required vet care and transport and this must be paid for prior to or at the time of collecting your dog, you will of course be given an itemised account.
- I consider our facilities and management practices to be of a high standard, and we will endeavour to ensure the very best care will be given to your dog. Sometimes issues may arise that are outside of my control so therefore I can accept no responsibility for illness, injury, death or loss for any reason.
- Pet Behaviour: For the safety of staff and other pets in our facility it is important that we are informed of any undesirable behaviours your pet may have, including if they have been deemed menacing or dangerous by any Council in NZ. We reserve the right to refuse admission to dogs into the Kennels with unpredictable, disruptive, destructive or truly aggressive behaviour. Any pet that harms a human or another animal will be isolated, and you will be contacted to pick them up immediately. You will be responsible for any and all medical and vet charges that result from any such incident.
- There is a deposit required once your booking has been accepted it will not be more than 50% of the total booking.
- Payment must be made on or before you pick up your dog. This can be paid by bank deposit or cash
- I reserve the right to make suitable arrangements for any dog or pet left in my care 5 days after the due collection date if no contact is made by the owner or the owners representative.
- For the safety of all animals on our property you must close any gate you open and do not exceed 10km/hr within the property.
By accepting these terms and conditions and boarding your dog with me means you are authorising me to make any decision on the health and welfare of your dog and that I am not financially or legally liable for any loss or injury or unexpected death of your dog or damage to your dog’s accessories while your dog is in my care or veterinary care organised by me.
